The 600 Series latest revision, the "f" model, is a remarkable achievement. In the previous "e" revision, the subwoofers were already impressive in size and performance. However, this latest "f" revision has received significant enhancements, including precision-engineered thermal cooling features and cutting-edge design work.

DD's design philosophy prioritizes the maximization of total efficiency, focusing on converting raw power into clean sound while effectively managing the intense heat generated during this conversion. To this end, the new 600 "f" revision features a vented aluminum voice coil insert and a vented, finned, aluminum heatsink. These components work together to conduct and transfer heat away from the subwoofer's most vulnerable components.

As the increased power handling will inevitably demand greater excursion, DD has addressed this by incorporating a taller surround, double-stitched to a fiberglass-loaded, non-pressed cone. This is adjoined to a voice coil with increased winding length and DD's proven double-layer spider, offering increased Xmax (maximum linear excursion) and elegant styling.

The heatsink features beautifully carved, polished aluminum DD logos, and the motor is wrapped in a rubber boot with an all-new embossed design. These design elements not only enhance the subwoofer's appearance but also contribute to its overall performance and durability.
